New Tires and Alignment on the RV
Getting the RV Ready
The RV handling had been horrible. First Spencer added Roadmaster front and rear anti-sway bars, last year. Those helped quite a bit. He also added Bilstein shocks and Roadmaster Steering Stabilizers. The ride was a bit better. Then, we finally decided to get our RV tires aligned. It was long overdue! The alignment from the factory was awful!
Also, after so many miles, we decided to get new, more chunky tires. Hopefully, that will help us on dirt roads, since we are boondocking a lot more!
Just a few more checks and tweaks and we are ready to go.
However, Mother Nature might have had some other ideas. Lol!
Eventually, all of the snow melted and we were on our way.
Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve
We were going to camp in NM last night, but as we were passing the Great Sand Dunes the kids started begging us to camp there overnight. So, we did a quick detour for some sledding fun!
First stop is to rent a couple of sandboards at Great Sand Dunes Oasis. They are super convenient, they are located at the entrance to the park. The kids love sandboarding so much and are getting better and better each time they try it.
We found a campsite in the park. How can you beat this view? That is the great part about having a set up that is so short, we can fit in most of the National Parks.
No matter how many times we’ve come here, the beauty of this park still takes our breath away!
